West Bank or Judea and Samaria?

Posted by JewishRefugee

One of the biggest distortions that have ever emerged during the Arab Israeli conflict is terminology that has been used on lands, people and so forth. For example Arabs became Palestinians, Judea and Samaria became West Bank, Israel became Palestine, Arab Israeli conflict became Israeli Palestinian conflict and the list continues. All of those distortions deserve their own articles, but here I want to zoom only into the so called the West Bank.

The British Mandate that was established on the ruins of the Ottoman Empire after the World War I, incorporated present day Jordan and Israel under one name Palestinian Mandate. It was supposed to become the home of both Jews and Arabs; Arabs to the east of the Jordan River and Jews to the west. Clearly we have two states Arab and Jewish states side by side. Let me make myself clear that present day Jordan is the first Arab (Palestinian) state. The Balfour Declaration was forged in 1920’s, as we all know that series of events took place between 1920’s and 1947 U.N. Partition Plan among them World War II and Holocaust.

Jewish people were desperate for their own land and were ready to agree to almost anything offered. After independence of Israel was proclaimed Arab bloc unsuccessfully attacked 650,000 Jewish inhabitants of new state. Even though the Jewish State survived this attack the Arabs in Gaza and Judea and Samaria were occupied by Egypt and Jordan respectively before they ever announced their statehood. Now we have Egypt and Jordan who occupied those lands, and guess what none of the Arabs (Palestinians) committed suicide on Jordan or Egyptian lands so they could liberate their so called Palestine.

In 1967, the Six Day War erupted where Arabs once again unsuccessfully tried to annihilate Jews. This time only unlike in 1948 Israeli army was able to conquer vast amount of territory including Judea and Samaria. One would think judging from history that when you are attacked and you win the war you would be able to keep that conquered lands. Like it happened during WWI and WWII, Russia still to this day owns parts of Japan, China, and Germany. France owned Rhinehart that belonged to Germany before WWI. United States still owns part of Mexican territory (Texas, California, Colorado, Utah, Arizona) has anyone seen Mexican suicide bomber? Would France, Russia, or U.S.A. surrender those lands because once upon time they were under control of certain entity? The answer is no. Understanding that Arabs have lost even Judea and Samaria they had to rethink their strategy which brought forth the series of distortions that could help break the Jewish connections to those lands. If you get your hands on old maps even before Israel was established you could locate Jerusalem, you could locate Judea on the map. Since there is a connection that can be seen they had to come up with something that would put an end to this link so Arabs called it West Bank, let me tell you something it is one of the biggest banks in the world they should record it in the Guinness Record book. (It was a joke) Has anyone seen a bank of the river that was as long as the West Bank or even close to that? There is no such a thing. But to our dismay major news agencies, politicians, even Israeli politicians refer to this land as West Bank not Judea and Samaria because Judea=Descendants of Judah=Jews.

Oh no! That can’t be there was a never Jewish presence here, there were no Jewish Temples, and they just came here from Europe to steal our lands. Quick note Jews outnumbered Arabs in Jerusalem 2 to 3, before major migration from Europe took place. So next time when you hear West Bank please know that it incorporates Hebron (Tombs of the Jewish Patriarchs), East Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and so forth. The proper name for these lands is Judea and Samaria because if we use West Bank we delegitimize the Jewish connection to this important to Jewish existence lands. So what is this West Bank or Judea and Samaria is up to you decide when you will name those lands in your next conversation. For me it is Judea and Samaria.

Could Israel do it again? (This is an absolutely a MUST see video)

Posted by JewishRefugee

Israel in 1981 destroyed Iraqi Nuclear Reactor; Israel was condemned by the United Nations including the United States. But Israel was able to survive the pressure and even was thanked for this mission. It took the world about 10 years to figure it out. Today, Iran poses a greater threat than Iraq ever did, but is Israel the same as it was in 1981? I leave this answer for you to answer. Could Israel attack Iran successfully? According to the Israeli military officials the problem is not in logistics, the problem is in leadership who won’t unleash the Israeli Defense Forces. Before you see this great video I want to leave you with two questions.Which is worse for Israel?1. The whole world would condemn Israel; there would be economical sanctions on Israel.2. Iran would have nuclear weapons that would balance the nuclear forces in the Middle East; thus destroying the only deterrent that Israel had for the means of its own security.

Israel or Iran?

Posted by JewishRefugee

The information circling the news media that Iran has got enough enriched uranium to make at least one atomic bomb. How could Israel allowed for this to come this far? There is one simple answer to this question Israel has been betrayed by its own government, Ehud Olmert and Company. Now that we are at this point the more relevant question is what do we do or what can we do? Israeli military force can do a lot but it is useless when you lack strong leadership and the proof to that is the Second Lebanese War. I hate to say it but if Israel cannot destroy Hamas terrorists in Gaza how can we think that Israel can do something about Iran?

With that in mind, I want to go back to the title of this post as to why I called it Israel or Iran. It seems that the world has given up on stopping Iran, with Barack Obama in the White House there are more doubts now than we ever had before regarding his foreign policy (Israel in this case). On top of that Israel is being bashed right and left by the United Nations that was hijacked by the Arab Nations. In addition to that we have global financial crisis and the last thing that people want to see is another war.

But the bitterest development is that the Jewish people in Israel or in the Diaspora do not care about Israel. The prove for that is results of the presidential elections in U.S. and active government of Israel that should have been under the investigation not while at the office (Ehud Olmert) but at the prison cell. So Israel has two options. Option number one we revisit the Jewish history where we been killed and humiliated and no one helped us. With that in mind we put an end to the Iranian problem, Iran no more means no Hamas, no Hezbollah for sure, Syria will have to rethink its strategy. Of course the great cost to Israel, Israel hits Iran, it will have rockets flying from Syria, Gaza, Lebanon, even people inside Israel will attack the Jewish people.

The world establishment will condemn Israel harsher than in 1981. We would be alone but G’d will be with us. We will survive, we will rebuild, and we could say to our children that the promise was held, “Never Again.” Option number two we continue to appease the world establishment. Iran will continue building nuclear bombs and the only deterrent that Israel ever had (Nuclear Arsenal) will be useless and so when our peaceful neighbors will attack and attack they shall, we will surely be defeated. The wishes of those who wanted to push Jews to the sea will become reality, those who survive will be under the dhimmi state. Jewish people around the world will be humiliated that the only Jewish State was destroyed. Jewish people around the world would have nowhere to go. Anti-Semitism is already on the rise due to the financial crisis now imagine what would happen if Israel wasn’t around. Now let’s weight the two options in both options we will be condemned and hated, in option one, we could save Israel and millions of Jewish lives. I do have to admit that Iran will suffer tremendously but you know what when it comes between who is more important to me Israel or Iran, I don’t have to even think, it
is Israel.

Those who care about Israel, please write to your representative, senators, let them know on what you stand. Write letters and e-mails to the Israeli government.

Those who are in Israel get this government out of there is fast as possible, delegitimize them before it is too late. We cannot wait any longer we got to act now! Write to the editors of Ynet, Jerusalem Post, New York Times, and so forth.

Right, left, center, everyone we need your help to turn this dangerous tide.

NEVER AGAIN!

WHY MUST EVICTING THE CITIZENS OF ISRAEL APPEASE THE TERRORISTS?

Posted by JewishRefugee

By Jim S. (one of our contributors Marcel)

It was the late Foreign Minister Abba Eban who first called the pre-1967 Israeli borders, to which AN-OBAMA-NATION plan demands that Israel retreat, the "Auschwitz borders." WHY MUST EVICTING THE CITIZENS OF ISRAEL APPEASE THE TERRORISTS? That is the obvious question of every Israeli outside the government. To more and more Israelis, every day, it becomes clearer why the God of Israel commanded in the torah:Exodus 23:32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.Deu 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee;thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make nocovenant with them, nor show mercy unto them:The religion of Islam makes it clear to all, the idea of placating to appease the Muslim terrorists, will only send them into a frenzy, as when sharks smell blood. When it comes to Jew killing Muslims in general, and the Palestinians in particular, have made their point over and over again, by word, deed, and blood, that they can be satisfied with NOTHING less than the death of ALL Jews and real Christian people of the book. This unilateral surrender to terror, by the eviction of the Jews from Gaza followed by a TEN TIMES LARGER EVICTION from Judea and Samaria, is all Ehud Olmert has been pushing since before he became Prime Minister. Olmert has always made it clear that the Gaza surrender to terror is just the start of the set up for what Olmert called "Disengagement Plan # 2." The meaning there, is the surrender of the Mountains of Israel. What does the God of Israel have to say about surrendering the Mountains of Israel? Ezek 38:18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.Ezek 38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; Why is Israel's government behaving in this craven and self-destructive fashion? Why is it appeasing terrorists while oppressing its own people? As an American, I am ashamed to admit the truth: one reason is relentless pressure on Israel from the United States government. Part of AN-OBAMA-NATION plan is that the US administration expects Israel to dismantle ALL Jewish cities in Judea and Samaria, and anything that will be outside the "security fence" that Israel is now building. AN-OBAMA-NATION plan will demand Israel to destroy and evict everyone from ALL Jewish towns east of the route of Israel's so-called security fence. That will leave Israel with an impossible to defend border situation literally a stone's throw from its major metropolitan area, Tel Aviv and the neighboring towns and suburbs along Israel's central coast. The plan will call for the eviction and dismantlement of ALL Israeli towns and villages outside of Israel's 1949 armistice lines. AN-OBAMA-NATION plan will not just disrupt and destroy ten thousand Jewish lives as the Gaza example but this plan will do that to well over 400,000 people, including some 200,000 within the city limits of Jerusalem.

LAND FOR PEACE?

Posted by JewishRefugee

In 1929, Israel has agreed to the Peel Partition Plan which is about 15% of present day Israel but its Arab counterparts completely disregarded this idea. In 1967, Israel has captured vast amount of land in the defensive war which almost tripled its pre-war size (1947 U.N. Partition Plan). The Arab nations understood that the military conquests against Israel are futile after 1973 the Yom Kippur War. So the Arab nations have changed its strategy which evolved into the “land for peace” diplomatic process or diplomatic annihilation of Israel. In 1977 Israel signed a peace treaty while Egypt has only signed some piece of paper. In return for peace Israel has surrendered the Sinai Peninsula. In 1994, Israel and Jordan signed a peace treaty in which Israel gave Jordan around 300 square kilometer of land and water rights. But the final blow to the State of Israel was the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993 at which Israel basically recognized Palestinian Authority self government. Oslo Accords paved the way to the present day Gaza and Judea and Samaria (so called West Bank).
The only problem with these agreements is that the only side that actually respects it is Israel. Arafat was talking peace in English and calling for the destruction of Israel in Arabic, Egyptian armies only motto to train is to fight its only enemy Israel. So as we can see Israel has shrunk significantly but this is not the end it may be pushed into the 1940’s lines which are also called the Auschwitz indefensible lines. Perhaps Jewish people will have to build men-made island of the cost of the Mediterranean? By the way did giving land brought peace to Israel? Or is problem is in the Independence of that land in the middle of the Arabic mainland? You can click on each map to see a higher resolution.

JEWISH STATE?

Posted by JewishRefugee

There was one controversial question from the beginning of the modern State of Israel. Should Israel be a Jewish State or the land that would incorporate many nations and (or) groups of people without Jewish identity? It is so controversial, this question still hunts us down at this point of time. I have met people that feel both ways and there seems to be no consensus among Jewish people even in Israel. The strongest message that was ever sent by the Israeli government was when after the Six Day War the Jewish army finally united Jerusalem, and all of the sudden Israeli government surrendered the rights to the Temple Mount to Waqf (Muslim Authority) to oversee the religious sites. As I recall when Jordan armies have captured the eastern part of Jerusalem they have decimated Jewish synagogues and cemeteries. Another strong message was when Hebron was surrendered which is the City of Patriarchs. Let us not forget that Hebron is part of Judea and Samaria not the so called West Bank which is used to distort the Jewish connection to this land. So now we came to a point when the faith of unity of Jerusalem is at stake. With that in mind there is no clear line that can be drawn regarding this controversial issue. Do we want a Jewish State or just the land to live on?

Peace or Weakness

Posted by JewishRefugee

Israel since Oslo Accords has adapted the attitude that by giving a little bit more it would eventually bring the long awaited peace between Jewish State and its Arab neighbors. So far we have been proved otherwise, by giving away Judea and Samaria (so called West Bank) we have only witnessed and experienced an increase in terror attacks. By withdrawing unilaterally from Gaza Strip we now have Hamas that is armed with sophisticated weapons, launches qassam rockets at the Israeli towns, continuously trying to kidnap Israeli soldiers. The Israeli Arabs still commit acts of terrorism recent series of bulldozer attacks is the prove to that. The Arab Knesset members have committed traitorous acts by providing information to the enemy entities during Second Lebanese War, they have also inspired riots in Akko (Acre) during Yom Kippur.
Is Israel the only party that actually committed to peace? While the other side has declared all out war on Israel, does anyone really think that by giving away more land perhaps half of Jerusalem will bring the long awaited peace? Does anyone think that by giving away the Golan Height this action will bring the peace between Israel and Syria? To keep things in perspective does anyone think that by giving away Sinai Peninsula Israel has gained a firm peace accord with Egypt? Or does anyone think that this policy of capitulation only inspires Israel’s enemies to fight more eager because they take it as sign of weakness not as a sign of goodwill gesture? Kadima under the Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni, and slick Shoul Mofaz with the support of our brave defense minister Ehud Barak truly believe and act that way. Syria is trying to re-launch its nuclear reactor that was destroyed last September while Ehud Olmert is trying to re-launch the peace talks with Syria, Hamas has restarted the bombardments of the Israeli cities in the south while Ehud Barack is actively trying to escape any military incursion into the Gaza Strip while tenth of thousands of civilians are living in unthinkable conditions. Tzipi Livni is trying to concede half of Jerusalem for the so called peace process. What has Israel come to?

Israel is in Existential Danger !

Posted by JewishRefugee

The modern State of Israel had her 60th birthday this year. But the obstacles that she is faced with have not diminished only increased. To our dismay the present Israeli government is not representing the Jewish people in Israel nor in Diaspora around the world. The government led by Kadima party has brought grave danger to the Jewish State. The withdrawal from Gaza, failure during Second Lebanese War both militarily and diplomatically, ongoing rocket attacks from Gaza on the civilian town and cities of Israel. The terrorist organization in the Lebanon are rearmed and stronger than before 2006 Second Lebanese War, Iran has almost completed the process of obtaining the nuclear weapons, Kadima is negotiating the surrender of Golan Heights and above all the Capital of Jewish State Jerusalem. How the strongest country in the Middle East has come to such a chaos? It has been voiced by experts that Israel is faced with the greatest obstacle in its modern history. You might rightfully ask how it can be when Israel is so militarily strong no one in the Middle East can challenge it. The answer is the Second Lebanese War, qassam rockets in the south, bulldozer attacks in Jerusalem, and so forth. And yet there has been no sound reaction from the Israeli government. What will it take for Israel to wake up and defend herself or will Israel disappear from the map as the only Jewish State?
